
SCHOOL VIOLENCE
DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE NEARLY 3 MILLION CRIMES ON OR AROUND SCHOOLS PER YEAR?

There are different forms of school violence some include physical violence, including student-on-student fighting due to gang activity and corporal punishment; psychological violence, including verbal abuse; sexual violence, including rape and sexual harassment; many forms of bullying, which most of the times leads to school shootings.

THE HARD TRUTH
Every day students go to school with big dreams of becoming something major. The reality is that students in their journey are being stopped by violence in school.
Psychologist Harry Stack Sullivan believed that troubled humans often delude themselves into thinking that they are alienated-alone in the world-that they have problems and concerns unlike those of others. This construct known as the “delusion of uniqueness,” Seems to be at the root of school violence.
School violence is a public health issue with direct and collateral consequences that has academic and social impacts for youth.
